Dr. Fragkoulis attained his medical degree from University of Patras School of Medicine in 2003 and conducted his residency in General Practice/ Family Medicine at Hippokration University Hospital of Athens. he received a M.Sc. in Healthcare Administration (HOU) and also a Postgraduate Diploma in Emergency Pre-hospital Medicine from National Emergency Center (EKAV).
He is As. Chief Doctor of the Journalists Health Care Fund (EDOEAP) and runs his own private practice in Nea Smyrni, Athens since 2010. He is Secretary General of the Greek Union of General Practitioners, Member of Board of the Greek Association of General Practitioners (ELEGEIA).
Dr Fragkoulis is especially interested in the management of common chronic diseases- Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, osteoporosis, etc. He strongly supports the holistic approach to the patient and the hippocratian principle”prevent is better than cure”. He focuses on the prevention of the disease by the management of the cardiovascular risk factors, smoking cessation, individualized screening for cancer, vaccinations, etc.
