Dr. Dermitzakis is an internist with subspecialization in oncology and diabetes. He runs a private practice in Athens and is also the coordinating medical advisor for the insurance companies MAPFRE Asistencia and Eurosos Assistance.
He was born in 1962 in Crete. In 1982 he graduated the Sapienza Medical University in Rome with excellent grades.
Thereafter he concludes his residency in internal medicine in 1999 after working at several hospitals in Athens.
He has taken part in many conferences and lectures in cancer research, diabetes and metabolic diseases, and has numerous publications in medical oriented Greek newspapers and revues.
