We are going to discuss some of the benefits and what you need to know about travel insurance. Although i never thing i am going to need it or hope that i will need it, if i do actually need it i will be very very glad that i’ve purchased it.
So for this article i’ll be using examples from one of the largest provider in the market. There are of course other providers that offer their own policies and i encourage you to do research to find out which one best suits you .
What does travel insurance do / cover?
Travel like your car and your home is an investment. They cost money, it’s a big cost and that’s why it is important to buy insurance for it. Because insurance that’s allows you to worry that much less about things going wrong on your trip, so you can enjoy it.

Basically there all your medical costs, you know emergency hospital visits and while i’ve never need it to use the medical part of my insurance i have traveled with friends that have needed to use it, you know these things happen and while you don’t want them to happen sometimes they happen. Travel Insurance helps cover the cost of these.
Lost Luggage
Travel Insurance also covers things such as lost luggage like when you arrive at the place and your bag doesn’t and suddenly you need to buy toothpaste, toothbrush and a new pair of clothes to wear. Travel Insurance covers the cost of these to make sure that you don’t smell.

Trip Cancellation and Interruption costs, which basically just allowing you to protect the money that you have already spend on your trip.

In case you travel so much you have to buy the annual travel insurance policies or multi-trip policies which basically covers you for all of your trips all year round. it’s actually really good to buy it once and don’t have to worry about it. You are covered.

Most of us buy insurance when we travel out of country to protect ourselves from big unexpected medical bill .
If you are over 60 you have to answer a medical questionnaire to buy travel insurance ,it determines what policy you will get and the price. Long detailed questions about your health history in a difficult language sometimes, it can be hard even know what they are asking. especially when you fill a questionnaire online. In case of emergency and after you report the claim Insurance companies always verify the answers from the questionnaire with the medical records from your doctor / hospital back home.
