Dr. Kafiri was born and raised in Athens. Her studies took place entirely in the city of Paris, France (PARIS XII University – Medical School of Créteil), and received her Medical degree with High Credits (Bronze Medal). When she completed her Doctoral thesis (thèse) entitled: «Activité physique et fonctionnement physique chez les patients obèses »,she became a Specialist in Endocrinology. She continued her studies for a Master’s Degree in Endocrinology in the Medical School of Athens. She graduated with the highest rates and excellent credits!
Her thesis “Identifying new Lipocytokine as insulin resistance index during childhood and adolescent obesity ” also received excellent ratings.
Her professional experience is enriched by cooperations with prestigious hospitals of Paris like “Henri Mondor” and “Hôtel Dieu”, and the Children’s Hospital of Athens “Aghia Sophia” and “Elena Venizelos”.
In addition she has also collaborated with important Endocrinologic centers of Greece specializing in Pediatric Endocrinology.
She also writes on a regular basis for Medical forms and keeps constantly informed about Medical issues and participates in Conferences around the world evolving her knowledge in Endocrinology. She is a member of the Greek Endocrine Society, the Greek Diabetes Association and the Greek Medical Society of Obesity.
As part of her constant scientific training and evolution , Georgia Kafiri specializes in anti-aging and is an active member of the companies FSAAM (French Society of Anti- Aging Medecine) and WOSIAM (Word Society Interdisciplinary of Anti Aging Medecine).
