Dr. Bouramas was born in 1959 in Greece. He received his medical degree from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in 1984. He specialized in neurosurgery at the KAT hospital in Athens and received his specialist title in 1993. He receives his PhD in the biological behavior of meningioma of the brain year 1997.
In 1999 he received his subspecialization in neurology and neurosurgery at the National Hospital “Queen Square” in London. There, he performed surgeries for complex diseases in the craniospinal junction, the base of the skull and cervical spine.
In 2002 he also specialized in endoscopic intracranial surgery for the treatment of hydrocephalus at Mainz University in Germany. He was elected Chairman of the Greek Association of the Spine in 2010.
He has served as Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Marine Military Hospital in Athens and he is currently the Director of the neurosurgical department at Athens Bioclinic Hospital.
