Dr. Dimitrios Fotopoulos was born in Ellinitsa, Arkadia, Greece in 1955. In 1972 he finished his high school education in Kelvyn Park, Chicago, Illinois. In 1976 he graduated from the Biology Department of University of Illinois, Chicago and in 1981 from Thessalonikis Aristotle University Medicine School.
In 1982 he was Public service Physician for three years in Rapsani, Larissa, Greece and in 1985, he was Resident Physician at 2nd Internal Medicine Department, for five years, at Ippokration General Hospital Thessaloniki.
Since then, he has been Senior Consultant at Internal Medicine Department of Thessaloniki Bioclinic Hospital in Greece.
He is a member of both Medical and Diabetes Northern Greece Association.
