Dr. Batikas was born in 1962 in Istanbul (Turkey). He is currently running a private practice in Athens.
He underwent his medical training at the University of Pisa (Italy) and he concluded his residency in General Practice/ Family medicine after working at several hospitals and Health Centers in Athens.
He worked in NHS from 1996 to 2014 and the last six years he directed the Health Center of Perama in Rethymno (Crete).
He is Member of the Greek Association of General Practice/Family Medicine (ELEGEIA), Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE), Greek Society of pain treatment and palliative care, Greek Diabetes Association.
He has publications in medical journals, books and guidelines of specialty.
